Tough Time For Racers
Reading Racers go into their clash with Birmingham Bulls understrength once again having found the changes to their squad to include riders who are available to race have proved unsuccessful.
The Racers trio of skipper Nick Laurence, William O'keefe and Rhys Laker will be joined by Eli Meadows, an inexperienced but keen 15 year old who many rate as one for the future.
Co managers Gene Carter and Mat Stevens said: "It's frustrating that we can't complete a team of four with the riders named in our 6 man squad. We tried to remedy this by replacing a rider who admitted he couldn't ride for us, but with poor Sam Norris obviously out of action and now a rider who doesn't respond to our calls or messages, it only needs one more to be unavailable and we're in trouble. So we need to look at that again."
Birmingham, led by league co-ordinator Laurence Rogers, bring a solid side, making this a tnother tough test for the Racers. Thursday's teams: Reading Racers; 1. Nick Laurence (c), 2. Eli Meadows, 3. William O'keefe, 4. Rhys Laker. Birmingham Ductair Bulls; 1. Arran Butcher (c), 2. Bailey Fellows, 3. Jacob Fellows, 4. Sheldon Davies.
